Wiita Mining and Exploration is a family owned and operated mining company located in Blythe, Ca. specializing in gold and precious metals, although we have been involved in numerous gem, mineral, oil, and natural gas operations as well. We are happy to announce we have completed four (4) more exploration trenches in Middle Camp Mining District operation, and are pleased that we exceeded our expectations. We are digging three (3) new trenches on two of our properties to the north of the WPE #1 in 2015, and expect our Plan of Operation on the WPE#1 and WPE #2 to be in hand by October of this year. Our head ore is averaging 1.75 grams plus per ton from our latest exploration, once we reached the depth of 24 - 30 feet the averages of 3 + gpt. Add in the gold locked up in the caliche (approx. 1.25 - 2.50 gram per ton), and now we are talking an average of 3 to 4 + gpt. We have increased our processing facility to a 25-30 ton per hour test plant. This plant is very portable (all self contained). Most of the gold to this point has been rice-sized pickers with the occasional 4-5 gram nuggets.  The Middle Camp Mining District is known for its nuggets, and this property has not been a let down. The exploration on the WPE #1 has produced an 11 troy ounce nugget, and over 120 troy ounces of other nuggets. Currently we have identified approximately 1,500,000 tons of material averaging 1.5 gpt - 8 gpt.

Keeping the hopper full

Here's a little history on the La Paz & Middle Camp districts. Americans discovered gold in the area in 1862, although Mexican miners had been working this area for years before. Between the years of 1862 and 1868 350,000 ounces were found in the La Paz district. The largest nugget said to be found in the district was a 64 ouncer. Most of the gold is coarse, with many nuggets of an ounce or more. The average fineness is around 0.920, with the main impurity being silver. Platinum-group metals, native silver, and native mercury have also been reported to occur in the gravels.
